Add to Cart

Report Summary:

A sharp decline of UMTS devices this year increased the importance of developing multimode LTE portfolios, and brought the promise of 5G into focus for chip suppliers.  In 2019, the first 5G devices will start to ship, and in 2022, 5G basebands could generate more than $5 billion in revenue.

This report contains Strategy Analytics' most recent forecast of cellular baseband shipments, market revenue and ASPs for SIX major air interfaces, including 5G, through 2022.  The forecast considers all expected cellular terminal shipments, not just handsets, and includes user-adjustable extrapolations for baseband vendor share through 2022.
