Report Summary:

The global cellular baseband processor market will continue to grow through 2020 but at a slower rate than anticipated as a result of competition and aggressive pricing in LTE chips.  Qualcomm's shipments will decline 4.4 percent in unit terms this year relative to 2014 as a consequnce of share losses in 3G and LTE, but Qualcomm's shipments will return to modest growth in 2016.  This report contains SA's most recent forecast of cellular baseband unit shipments, market revenue and ASPs for six major air interfaces through 2020.  The forecast considers all expected cellular terminal shipments, not just handsets, and includes extrapolations for baseband vendor share through 2020.
