Cellular user equipment production declined in 2020 with the economic effects of COVID-19, but rebounded in the second half of the year leading to component shortages and firmer component prices. As a consequence, the market for cellular radio components grew more than 15 percent in 2020; growth will continue with 5G through 2025.
5G will lead to growth for almost all radio components except for some of those with the lowest levels of integration.
