Report Summary:

Total production of cellular terminals grew only 0.2 percent to reach 2.088 billion units in '12, but the growth of high-value smartphones and LTE devices helped offset this, resulting in radio component sales of $25.6 billion for the year. Over the next five years, growth in cellular devices will continue but at slower rates with a maturing market for cellular terminals, pushing the cellular radio component market to more than $40 billion led by basebands, power amplifiers and related front-end modules.
