The global cellular baseband processor market grew a robust 27 percent year-on-year to reach $5.8 billion in Q1 2015.  Qualcomm, MediaTek and Spreadtrum maintained their top three revenue share rankings in Q1 2015.  For the first time, Samsung LSI featured in the top five baseband revenue share rankings overall and grabbed third spot in the LTE rankings thanks to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge modem design-wins.  This report tracks the cellular baseband unit shipments, ASPs and revenues of 21 baseband chip vendors across six air interface technologies on a quarterly basis, and includes provisional data up to Q2 2015.
