Despite the overall market decline, Qualcomm gained share and finished the year 2017 with 42 percent revenue share, up from 38 percent in 2016, followed by Apple and MediaTek. Both MediaTek and Spreadtrum saw their shipments decline sharply in 2017 as they couldn't advance their product roadmaps.
