Qualcomm, Intel, MediaTek, Texas Instruments and ST-Ericsson took the top five positions in our revenue share rankings for the quarter. GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, TD-SCDMA and LTE baseband shipments all showed strong annual growth in Q2 2011, while CDMA and iDEN shipments declined. Strategy Analytics estimates that LTE baseband shipments grew 36-fold from Q2 2010 to Q2 2011, making it an attractive growth segment for baseband vendors.
