Strategy Analytics hosted its annual Lunch & Learn Session at the Defence, Security and Space (DSS) Forum, jointly organised by the European Microwave Association (EuMA) and Microwave Journal during European Microwave Week 2018 (EuMW 2018). This year's presentation discussed the implications of expanding the UAS mission envelope in both military and civilian airspace. Furthermore, the presentation discussed how the expansion of commercial UAS use brings a disruptive potential, intentional or otherwise, which requires countering strategies. The RF technologies that will underpin radar, EW and communications systems as both UAS payloads as well as part of the counter-UAS solution set are also examined.
