Another quarter with nearly universally negative financial results across all the segments covered in this report. Seasonality, softening of the smartphone market and political tensions with China may explain some of this trend, but it merits close scrutiny. There was substantial acquisition and new process activity announced this quarter that may influence the future direction of the industry.
