RF compound semiconductor will grow with a CAAGR of 4% to reach slightly more than $11.05 billion in 2020. GaAs, driven by cellular applications is the dominant technology but revenue in this segment will be relatively flat throughout the forecast period. Instead, growth in RF compound semiconductor revenue will come from GaN, SiGe and InP technologies. These technologies will play a big role in and benefit from rapid growth in defense, fiber optic and automotive markets.
