WiTricity has communicated an update on its developments in wireless charging. Some 10 auto makers will use its technology in the near term, with two Tier 1 vendors developing systems for public charging infrastructures. Recent developments and standards in wireless charging will lower system cost, enable deployments in public charging infrastructures, Smart Grid capability and global interoperability.
