Report Summary:

The expected outlook for light vehicle production now appears to have stabilized, as countries around the world get to grips with the COVID-19 pandemic.  This update thus shows only small changes over the previous forecast.  The outlook for 2020 has improved very marginally, but remains bleak.

The demand for automotive sensors will grow at 4.4% CAAGR in dollar terms between 2019 and 2024, despite the considerable fall in the production of light vehicles in 2020 due to the Coronavirus crisis.  While there will be an adverse effect on most areas, particularly in high-penetration rate chassis- and internal combustion engine-related systems, the effect will be less in other areas, such as in active safety and electrified powertrain systems, which are seeing increases in penetration.
