Report Summary:

MWC Shanghai 2017, held in Shanghai, June 28-July 1, attracted nearly 67,500 attendees from 104 countries and territories. Compared to the 2016 event, this year’s show spanned across seven halls at Shanghai’s New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC). It featured nearly 600 exhibitors, showcasing companies from across the mobile ecosystem, as well as adjacent industry sectors and an additional 15 pavilions from specific countries and regions.

This year's show attracted more than a dozen automotive exhibitors, including OEMs, Tier 1s, MNOs, SIM, and chip vendors as well as Internet companies.

This report focuses on the major automotive exhibitor announcements, including an update on smartphone projection solution strategies, reprovisionable embedded SIM (eSIM) solutions, and also emerging technologies, such as 5G, cellular base V2X (C-V2X) and OTA updates
