China Differentiated Methods in Aftermarket Telematics - CarVP & Infoservice

Telematics applications are increasingly being offered as product differentiators in the automotive market. In China, as elsewhere, aftermarket telematics services have been introduced in the market much earlier than OEM solutions. A range of aftermarket solutions are popular in existing cars and emulate most of the features available on factory-installed telematics systems. In this Insight we look at two suppliers; CarVP and Infoservice. Both companies demonstrated their solutions at the recent AutoNavi seminar in Beijing, with offerings that address different needs and target markets. Solutions such as these open up new opportunities for third parties to connect with drivers.
