Report Summary:

CES 2019 showed significant interest among the OEMs in in-vehicle commerce solutions, specifically within the context of fuel or charging payment and food ordering. At the other end of the spectrum, focus on the in-cabin experience in the context of Level 4 and 5 autonomy showed multiple interpretations of an inviting, relaxing and engaging occupant experience removed from the context of driving. Other automakers are focusing on augmented reality for infotainment and safety applications. This is the first of two reports covering automotive announcements at CES 2019.
