Navigation and Maps remain a significant percentage of on-board memory use in vehicles, with 3D Maps increasing the need for on-board memory as the feature becomes more commonplace in the Midrange segment. OTA updates, advanced ADAS features and V2X connectivity in advance of Level 3+ autonomy will increase the need for edge computing, and consequently, local data storage.
