UX Innovation Trends for 2015 Addressing Consumer Needs in the Evolving Connected Device Universe
2014 was the year that brought us larger iPhones (finally) and an in-vehicle connectivity solution (though only for a few aftermarket systems) from Apple; music streaming “freedom” for T-Mobile US subscribers; and wide-scale availability of 4K TV, but with limited adoption by the masses. As we look towards 2015, we expect further innovations in devices, wearables, content, the smart home, the connected car and the ‘Internet of Things’. All of these will create UX challenges as well as opportunities to develop new value-added experiences. This report examines the extent to which each of our 2014 UX innovation predictions were realized, and sets out our expectations for significant developments in the year ahead.
