Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics conducted a user experience evaluation of LimePod, a free-floating car-share service from micromobility provider Lime.  The Lime mobile app is required for every single car-related task, from registration to ending a rental.  Though Lime’s reliance on a mobile app lends itself to a frictionless experience in bicycle or scooter-sharing, it can be problematic for some car rental scenarios.  The exclusive use of Fiat subcompact cars also carries inherent benefits and disadvantages for specific car-sharing use cases.
