Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics conducted a user experience evaluation of Apple CarPlay in a Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX aftermarket infotainment system. Participants felt CarPlay was so similar to the iPhone experience that there would be no learning curve. Siri worked well for calling contacts but poorly for destination entry. While phone and messaging functions bring consumers into a Siri dialogue, media features do not have dedicated Siri functionality. Third-party apps, particularly Spotify, did not always function properly.
