Strategy Analytics conducted a UX benchmark study of the 2018 Subaru XV. Naïve users can easily surface key functions for most top in-car tasks in the XV, but it is also plainly clear which features were less well-thought-out. Although the touchscreen interface in the XV is remarkably well-designed, some advanced tasks were far too complex for first-time users to complete reliably. The voice recognition system is a major pain point in immediate need of improvement.
