Strategy Analytics conducted a UX benchmark study of the 2018 Range Rover Velar, featuring its Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. The visually appealing and customizable dual-touchscreen interface received positive feedback from first-time users, despite extremely poor performance on 2 tasks. One particular infotainment section is rendered almost unusable due to a lack of affordance for key in-car tasks. The steering-only park assist feature leveraged its console display for a usable visual asset throughout the maneuver. But park assist also suffered from many of the same usability issues noted in other early autonomous systems.
