Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their interest in, and willingness to pay for, 11 different telematics and remote vehicle management services.  These include automated emergency service alerts, usage-based insurance discounts, and vehicle location tracking.  Many segments continue to indicate a strong desire for remote services, though that desire is starting to fade in one key region.  The advance of smart home and other connected features outside the car is leading to a widening delta between expectation and reality in connected vehicle UX, and consumers are beginning to respond.
