Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their in-car usage of personal devices and smartphone apps.  Smartphone use among drivers is fairly common, and as many as one third of passengers use at least one other device such as a tablet or a portable music player.  Most smartphone owners use mobile-based navigation in the car, but not regularly.  Those smartphone owners who use social networking in the car use it very often.
