Strategy Analytics surveyed 2000 automobile owners in China to determine usage, interest, and satisfaction with infotainment features. AM/FM Radio is the most used infotainment feature in the vehicle, and music player connectivity is on par with CD player usage. AM/FM Radio and USB were the top two features in terms of consumer interest for their next vehicle. CD player interest and usage lags behind Western consumers, and makes China ripe to be at the forefront of mechless receivers. Connectivity with smartphones for music and applications is also of great interest to the Chinese consumer.
