As the millennial demographic expands, so do the options most millennials have to get from place to place, thanks in part to the rise of car and ride-sharing services. Strategy Analytics conducted a series of focus groups examining current and future mobility choices among millennials in urban environments for a variety of transport-related tasks. For each task, the monetary cost of the trip was identified as the number one factor determining millennials’ decision regarding which transport modality to use. Simplicity of usage, length of journey, comfort, and safety were also identified as key factors in the transport decision-making process.
