Strategy Analytics surveyed car owners in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their likelihood of considering battery-powered electric vehicles (BEVs) when buying their next car.  Consumers were also asked about their concerns regarding BEV ownership.  BEVs are attractive options for consumers in many markets, thanks to government incentives and expanding battery range.  But the strongest interest is limited to just a handful of demographic segments, due to several perceived challenges of owning a BEV.  Product strategists, marketing specialists, and dealer networks all have roles to play in alleviating these concerns.
