Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their usage of and satisfaction with infotainment, as well as their interest in infotainment features for their next vehicle. Internet radio showed tremendous growth in the US. AM/FM radio and CD player usage and interest continue to decline in the US and Western Europe. In China, music stored on smartphones and portable music players is poised to become the most-used infotainment source in the vehicle.
