Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their usage of and satisfaction with in-car speech recognition systems and satisfaction of in-car touchscreens. Daily usage of in-car speech recognition systems has increased in all regions from 2016 to 2017. Consumers’ satisfaction with such systems has declined slightly across many demographics. Consumers’ satisfaction with in-car touchscreens remains strong but maintains its downward trend. Satisfaction with this HMI decreased most in the US.
