Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US and Western Europe regarding their interest in wearables for the car in 2 key use cases.  While robust interest in the technology was present among younger and middle age groups, we question whether these demographics have the cachet to justify large investment in wearables for automotive at present.  Interest in car-related wearables decreases dramatically as age increases, particularly in the US.  Small differences among vehicle class ownership are noted, with luxury car owners expressing slightly greater interest in wearables than other consumers.
