Consumer Interest in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics surveyed iPhone and Android smartphone owners in the US and Western Europe regarding their interest in having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in their next vehicle. There were regional differences in that consumers in the US were generally more interested in either solution. Gender differences were apparent in both regions, though of a different nature in each. Consumers under 45 years of age were more interested in either solution. Some vehicle class differences were also noted.
