This report presents the findings of Strategy Analytics’ web survey in the US, Western Europe, and China investigating consumers’ privacy concerns towards data collected by their vehicles. Over half of respondents across all regions considered it to be important to access smartphone apps and music using in-vehicle voice recognition systems. Consumers indicated concerns in allowing their cars to collect data of their driving and regular routes, while they were also concerned by the possibility of being hacked if their cars collected their personal data.
