Strategy Analytics undertook an internet-based survey in a European capital city (Marid) to investigate carsharing users’ satisfaction with aspects of the apps, vehicle fleet, and the service, and also their expected change in usage over the next year. A total of 151 users were surveyed.
Carsharing services landed in Madrid nearly 7 years ago with Car2Go (now ShareNOW) followed by emov (now Free2Move) a year later. Following an initially timid acceptance by their early adopters, the ecosystem has grown continuously. Although Covid-related lockdowns impacted their usage, they were also benefited by people’s wariness about the use of public transport.
