The Geneva Auto Show was the site for the long awaited debut of Apple CarPlay (formerly iOS in the Car). Though only compatible for iPhone 5 and future models, the demonstrations provided in Geneva show a system that will likely be easy for Apple owners to use and more importantly provides opportunities for music apps other than iTunes to be streamed, and opens the door for other apps to be added seamlessly. Meanwhile, Volvo showed off their new tablet-like interface which tries to take after Tesla. While it has some positive aspects there are also reasons for concern.
