TechInsights undertook a worldwide internet-based survey to investigate consumers’ satisfaction with their on-board touchscreen and features. A total of 3,667 car owners across the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and China were surveyed. From this broad sample, only car owners who had integrated touchscreens in their vehicle were asked questions about that HMI. In the latest survey the younger drivers showed a higher satisfaction rate as they find the technology easy to use and very satisfied with overall performance. In terms of the market, for most respondents in the US the satisfaction rate across all questions remained high whilst the European users were harder to please, and the Chinese drivers are very satisfied across the board. Detailed guidelines can be provided when combining subjective and objective data through in-depth benchmarking of current solutions.
