TechInsights undertook an internet-based survey to investigate consumers’ satisfaction with their ADAS features. A total of 5,106 car owners across the US (1,760), Western Europe including the UK, France, Germany, and Italy (1,735), and China (1,611) were surveyed.
Only respondents who reported owning a car quipped with a certain ADAS feature were surveyed about that feature.
Users were thus surveyed about their experience with features aimed at enhancing their situation awareness (e.g. Forward Collision Alert), enhancing their response in a context (e.g. Automatic Emergency Braking), or provide extra convenience (e.g. Cruise Control systems).
Compared to 2022, owners’ satisfaction with ADAS features in the US have particularly improved for warning and intervention features. In Western Europe, where consumers were always skeptical, a number of features such as Blind Spot Detection/Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking are finally promoted. ADAS features in China have improved slightly across the board.
