Strategy Analytics undertook a worldwide internet-based survey to investigate car owners’ interest in a car subscription service, which also included insurance and maintenance.

A total of 4,990 car owners across the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and China were
surveyed.

Interest in such services has blossomed in the West, although still 14-percentage points
behind the interest in China.

Younger car owners are the most interested in these services in the US and Western Europe, so their lifestyle, vehicle and feature preferences and potential ‘pocket’ constraints must be considered to succeed.
