Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, France, Germany, Italy, and the UK with regards to their interest and willingness to pay for an in-vehicle premium audio system, in addition to consumer brand perception for 20 premium audio brands. Interest in premium audio has increased from 2017 to 2018, especially among females in the US. Willingness to pay remains strong for lower price points. Bose maintained its dominance in brand perception. Sony remained second overall despite brand perception decreasing in Germany and Italy. But Sony remains as the most well-known brand in all countries surveyed.
