Report Summary:

Early developments focused on driver monitoring to ensure the safe handover of vehicle control from the autonomous driving application to the driver.  Recent developments now suggest a shift towards occupant monitoring throughout the vehicle cabin, in advance of future deployments of fully-autonomous robotaxis.  Despite rapidly growing volumes, strong OEM pressure on pricing and the likelihood of the core DMS function being up-integrated into an existing vehicle ECU means that suppliers will need to work hard to defend margins.
