Report Summary:

The recent deployments of remote park assist by luxury auto makers are a precursor for semi-autonomous driving applications entering the automotive market.  Future developments aim to provide autonomous valet park assist, in which the vehicle no longer requires a valet attendant to park the vehicle.  Such an application will enable further convenience for consumers and further efficiency in parking operations, but would likely require infrastructure support.  This report considers the system requirements in new park assist applications and the possible demand arising for them.
