Events are currently moving very quickly in automotive, and this document updates the version that was published on 25th March 2020, and presents a yet more pessimistic scenario.
NEW - In response to client feedback, the ADAS Planner now allows the user to choose which year to select as the base case for comparing the new scenario to. This can be selected in the drop-down box above each graph.
This spreadsheet thus enables some very top-level automotive scenario planning to be done for 2020 and 2021. It includes an updated scenario developed by Strategy Analytics to present its view of how Coronavirus may impact global light vehicle production and the consequent system, semiconductor and sensor demand. Users can also create and save their own scenarios by entering their estimates for light vehicle production growth in each region in 2020 and 2021.
