Fixed Broadband Price Benchmarking Update for June 2012

Summary

The number of Broadband plans in the Teligen Fixed Broadband Price Benchmarking service continues to grow, although much more modestly compared to previous updates. As of June 2012, the service covered 2,327 standalone and bundled broadband plans, up from 2,240 plans in March 2012, and representing an increase of just under 4%. The number of fibre-placed plans has grown slightly, and now accounts for almost 27% of all plans, while over 60% of all packages have advertised maximum download speeds equal to or greater than 15 Mb/s. The number of bundled residential offerings remains broadly unchanged, with just over half being bundled plans.
