Summary

Several large microelectronics companies reported financial results in April, with the most interesting developments being a double-digit yearly revenue decline at RFMD and flat revenue at Mitsubishi and Fujitsu. The Japanese company results are important because the fiscal year included all the post-earthquake aftermath and seems to indicate manufacturing may be stabilizing in Japan. GaN development activity and funding continues at a brisk pace.
