After a disappointing few months, announcements from the optoelectronics, material and equipment supply chain seem to be showing a rebound. Financial reports for companies at the front-end of the chain are showing growth or are trending upward. Product development at optical component and equipment manufacturers continues to show significant activity at 40Gbps and above as the transport network tries to keep pace with increasing data consumption.
