Summary

Global shipments of cellphones remained strong, growing sequentially from Q2 ‘11, contributing to a modest increase in profits for RF and wireless component suppliers overall, but amid signs of somewhat weaker sales growth to be reported in Q4 (for Q3). Merger & acquisition activity remained high, and stock volatility and dropping market prices around the globe delayed IPOs.
