Summary

AESA once again figured prominently with Boeing being greenlighted for the F-15E Radar Modernization Program. Meanwhile, Northrop Grumman and partner CEA Technologies Pty Ltd conducted a demonstration of CEAFAR, a scalable and tailorable S-Band AESA multi-function radar and Cassidian also introduced a naval radar based around GaN technology. In other areas such as EW and weapon systems BAE Systems received its first Full Rate Production contract for its ALE-55 Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures subsystem, while on the communications front, Harris introduced the world's first soldier "smart radio".
