Barry Gilbert is one of the original founding members of Strategy Analytics. Barry’s involvement in high technology research and consulting spans more than 25 years. He is presently tasked with helping identify, design, and develop new programs that meet the evolving demands of the global technology marketplace. He is currently working with his colleagues on the Global Forces program that identifies disruptive potential of companies in the mobile ecosystem and is leading the firm’s development of AppOptix, an innovative mobile measurement service. Prior to Strategy Analytics Barry served as the COO of Current Analysis, a venture-backed competitive intelligence firm and as managing vice president of consulting for Bowne (NYSE:BNE). Barry has held executive level positions with Giga Information Group (acquired by Forrester Research) where he served on the executive management team and as VP of quantitative research and oversaw the Market Strategies Division (formerly BIS Strategic Decisions. Barry served in leadership roles at IDC, Computer Intelligence/InfoCorp, and as co-founder and EVP of the Market Information Center up through that firm’s acquisition by Technology Financial Services. Barry began his career working in sales for Burroughs Corporation. Barry holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Clark University’s Graduate School of Business.
