Troubles continue for the longer-term outlook in the LED market as a semiconductor industry association forecasts a double-digit decline in the spending rate for LED manufacturing equipment in 2012. Despite this, the study forecasts production growth and product development continues targeting cost, output and efficiency improvements. The photovoltaic segment of the market is also focusing on efficiency improvements with several companies announcing record performance.
