Global Media & Entertainment revenues will grow 5.8% in 2008 and slow to 4.5% in 2009. In the 2008-2012 forecast period global revenue will grow at a 5.0% CAGR to pass the $1 trillion mark by the end of 2012, up from $798 billion in 2007. Traditional Media & Entertainment revenue will grow at a 3% CAGR globally in the forecast period while Online Media & Entertainment revenue will grow at an 18% CAGR. By the end of 2012 online media revenues will represent 12.6% and total digital revenues (online & mobile) will reperesent 17.3% of global media & entertainment revenues, up from 7.0% and 9.2% respectively in 2007.
