Andrew Brown is Director for the Strategy Analytics Wireless Enterprise Strategies service, a service that analyzes all aspects of the enterprise mobile and wireless ecosystem, from smart devices and notebooks to mobile email and mobilizing line-of-business applications.With over 10 years of experience as an analyst he was a program manager at IDC prior to joining Strategy Analytics, where he was responsible for mobile computing research as well as the lead analyst on mobile computing, mobile devices, smart phone platform trends and developments and other key important issues in the mobile and wireless markets.Andrew Brown is frequently quoted in the leading business press, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, International Herald Tribune, CNN, and Reuters, in addition to leading industry sources, local press, and online publications. He has participated in industry advisory councils for the mobile community, advising on mobile strategy and direction, and was also chairman of IDC's Mobile Special Interest Group (SIG). He regularly presents and chairs roundtables and panels at industry events such as 3GSM, CTIA, the smartphone show and CeBit, specializing in mobile strategy.Prior to joining IDC in 1997, Brown worked for Lucas Automotive GmbH in Germany as a market analyst analyzing the automotive market. He gained a joint honor's degree in Marketing and German from Lancaster University in the UK.
